Beyonce Sued Over Canceled Game Project

Beyonce Knowles has been massively successful in a number of different realms, from music to acting to endorsements. She was to be involved with a new videogame based on her life before pulling out, a move that has led to her being sued by the game's would-be developer.

Gate Five LLC filed the lawsuit in New York on Tuesday. It alleges that Beyonce agreed to a deal last June for a game called Starpower: Beyonce before later demanding a new (and more more lucrative) deal that resulted in the company's business being "destroyed."

"In early December everything was still a go. And then the week of Christmas, she said that's it, I don't want to hear from you guys, go away, resulting in 70 people losing their jobs," said Gate Five founder Greg Easley in an interview, reports New York Magazine. "We'd much rather make a game than litigate. But we want to recover damages that Gate Five suffered."
