GDC: How Steve Jobs and Gary Gygax Inspired Doom (Kind of)

In late 1991, id Software moved to Wisconsin, John Carmack bought a new computer, and the team wallowed in its love of Dungeons & Dragons. These three discrete points of data may not seem to have much to do with one another, but together they served as the petri dish in which Doom came to life.
