Muzyka and Zeschuk will be the 14th and 15th inductees, marking the first time the honor was ever given to a pair as opposed to an individual (do you think there was any arguing about who would technically get to be inducted first?). The AIAS says the doctors were chosen for "their emotionally engaging and detailed cinematic games." Muzyka and Zeschuk will be presented the Hall of Fame award by Epic Games president Mike Capps at the 14th annual Interactive Achievement Awards at the 2011 D.I.C.E. summit, taking place February 10. "We're truly honored to represent our teams of passionate, hard-working, creative staff across the BioWare Group within Electronic Arts, and they all share this award with us," Muzyka said in a statement. "We'd also like to thank our wives and the families of our employees for their continuous support over the years, which together with the hard work of our great teams continually enables BioWare's success," added Zeschuk.
Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk, the founders of BioWare and creators of Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Baldur's Gate, are set to be inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame, joining the likes of Shigeru Miyamoto, Yu Suzuki, Will Wright, and Peter Molyneux.
