Yar's Revenge video reminds us Yar's Revenge is a real thing

Maybe you've convinced yourself that you just dreamed Atari was publishing a downloadable remake of Yar's Revenge, with Miyazaki-inspired artwork and a storyline about one humanoid "Yar" soldier. It does make more sense as dream logic than something that would actually happen.

But nope! It is happening, and continues to happen, as evidenced by the video after the break. As producer Michael Fahrny discusses the art style of the reimagined shooter, you'll see plenty of concept art and even the first gameplay footage, which reveals a cool, rail-shooter type of game.
